• Cities you save to your bucket list
• Trip planning data (destinations, dates, accommodations, and trip companions)

• Visit dates and travel history you choose to share
• Privacy preferences (bucket list visibility, future trip visibility)

Automatically Collected Information

• Device information (device type, operating system)
• Usage data (features used, time spent, interactions)
• Log data (IP address, app crashes, system activity)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality
• Personalize your experience and content recommendations
• Enable social features (following, activity feeds, badges)
• Send notifications about activity on your content
• Improve and optimize the App
• Detect, investigate, and remove prohibited content
• Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
• Comply with legal obligations

3. User-Generated Content & Prohibited Material

Voya is a platform for authentic travel content. You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not pre-screen all user-generated content, but we actively review reported content and may remove material that violates our Terms of Use — including hate speech, graphic imagery, harassment, or any content that is illegal under applicable law.

When content is reported or removed, we may retain a record of it for moderation and legal compliance purposes, even after deletion from public view. In cases involving illegal content (e.g. child exploitation material, credible threats of violence), we may be required to report it to relevant authorities and cooperate fully with law enforcement.

Voya is not liable for content posted by users. If you encounter content that violates our terms, please report it through the in-app reporting tools.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Public Information

• Your profile (username, display name, bio, avatar) is visible to other users
• Your reviews, ratings, photos, and comments are public by default
• Your activity may appear in followers' feeds
• Your bucket list is visible to others unless you disable it in privacy settings
• Your future trips are hidden by default; you can choose to show them on your profile
• Trips you share with companions are visible to those companions regardless of trip visibility settings
• Private accounts restrict all profile content to approved followers only

Service Providers

We use third-party services to operate the App:

• Supabase for database, storage, and authentication
• Google Maps & Places for city search and geocoding
• Open-Meteo for historical weather data
• Mapbox for map rendering
• Push notification services for in-app alerts

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Voya, our users, or the public. This includes cooperating with law enforcement in connection with illegal content or activity on the platform.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, your personal data and content are removed from public view. Certain records (e.g. moderation logs, legal holds) may be retained for a limited period as required by law.

6. Your Privacy Controls

You have control over your information:

• Edit or delete your reviews, photos, and comments at any time
• Make your account private to control who can follow you and see your content
• Toggle bucket list visibility so only you can see your saved cities
• Toggle future trip visibility to show or hide your planned trips on your profile
• Block users to prevent them from viewing your content
• Manage notification permissions via your device settings
• Delete your account and associated data through Account Management in Settings

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission and secure storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Voya is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

9. International Users

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations. We take steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access to your personal information
• Correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion of your information (right to be forgotten)
